Experimental Psychology Society meeting July 2018

Dan attended the joint meeting of the EPS and CSBBCS in St. Johns, Newfoundland to report some recent findings from the project. His talk brought together neuropsychological and behavioural evidence, including some recent data from Soazig’s experiments, to argue that exogenous orienting of attention depends on activation of the eye-movement system whereas endogenous orienting can be achieved independently of saccade programming. He also participated in a symposium on the control of visual attention, organised by RJ Redden and featuring talks from  Ray Klein, Bob Swalwell, Ana Chica, Amelia Hunt and RJ himself.
